Peer Revew Process

IJETAI uses double-blind peer review. The editorial board mainly consists of academicians affiliated with worldwide universities and practitioners in education and computer science. Every editorial board member has a profile, including the academic domain, academic affiliation, publication, and review reports. At IJETAI, we maintain a list of active reviewers only who are in regular communication with the editorial office.

With the permanent support of our editorial office members, specialty chief editors, and reviewers, we work on including the peer-review procedure in a decent timeframe.

IJETAI reviewers are instructed not to estimate the potential impact of a paper in a given field or its novelty. These subjective judgments could delay the publication of a work, which may later prove significant. At IJETAI, the publication's readership is in the most suitable position to determine what interests them.
IJETAI promotes a rigorous peer-review procedure based on scientific validity and the technical quality of the paper. First, we would like to thank our reviewers for supporting this concept.

Review Process

  1. After the submission, the corresponding author is asked to clarify that the paper has not been published elsewhere.
  2. Then, contact the editorial office using their institutional email address and confirm that they have thoroughly revised and agreed with the IJISME publication policies.
  3. The manuscript is screened for basic technical requirements.
The corresponding author receives a confirmation email informing them whether or not the manuscript has been appropriately structured.
  4. Even though the authors are responsible for potentially plagiarized content, the editorial office scans the paper's content for plagiarism by using specialized software.
  5. The editorial office reserves the right to return to authors without peer review, improperly formatted manuscripts, or non-authorized submissions.
  6. IJETAI reviewers for the manuscript are assigned.
  7. The identity of the reviewers is anonymous, except for those willing to disclose their identity under the "open review" process, which is explained below.
  8. IJETAI specialty chief editors are invited to comment on the structure of the paper and the quality of the review reports received.

Review Results

Based on the peer review process for 4 to 6 weeks, IJETAI will decide the categories:

  • Accept - The accepted manuscript will be published in its current form without the need for further modification
  • Accept with minor revision – Manuscripts that accept accept-waiting-revision decisions will be published on the condition of small revision.  The reviewer will review revisions to ensure the necessary updates are made prior to publication.
  • Return for major revision and resubmission. Manuscripts need to be reworked with significant changes and require to be resubmitted.
  • Reject – Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit the revised version.
