Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Art, Design, and Metaverse (IJAM) accepts research articles and literature reviews in educational technology and computer science.

  • Recommended article length is 4000 - 6000 words.
  • Authors should submit their manuscripts using our OJS submission system
  • The corresponding author receives a confirmation for the submission within three days.

Peer Review Procedure
IJAM  uses double-blind peer review. The editorial board mainly consists of academicians affiliated with worldwide universities and practitioners in education and computer science. Every editorial board member has a profile, including the academic domain, academic affiliation, publication, and review reports. At IJAM, we maintain a list of active reviewers only who are in regular communication with the editorial office.

With the permanent support of our editorial office members, chief specialty editors, and reviewers, we work on including the peer-review procedure in a decent timeframe.

IJAM  reviewers are instructed not to estimate the potential impact of a paper in a given field or its novelty. These subjective judgments could delay the publication of a work, which may later prove significant. At IJAM, the publication’s readership is in the most suitable position to determine what interests them.
IJAM promotes a rigorous peer-review procedure based on scientific validity and the technical quality of the paper. First, we would like to thank our reviewers for supporting this concept.

Review Process

  1. After the submission, the corresponding author is asked to clarify that the paper has not been published elsewhere.
  2. Then, contact the editorial office using their institutional email address, and confirm that they have thoroughly revised and agreed with the IJAM publication policies.
  3. The manuscript is screened for basic technical requirements.
The corresponding author receives a confirmation email informing them whether or not the manuscript has been appropriately structured.
  4. Even though the authors are responsible for potentially plagiarized content, the editorial office scans the paper’s content for plagiarism by using specialized software.
  5. The editorial office reserves the right to return to authors without peer review, improperly formatted manuscripts, or non-authorized submissions.
  6. IJAM reviewers for the manuscript are assigned.
  7. The identity of the reviewers is anonymous, except for those willing to disclose their identity under the “open review” process, which is explained below.
  8. IJAM specialty chief editors are invited to comment on the structure of the paper and the quality of the review reports received.

Submission Method

Manuscripts are to be submitted by the author through an online submission system. Submissions by anyone other than the author will be rejected. When submitting papers for publication in the IJAM, please submit an original editable file in one of the (.doc, .docx) style files. All figures, images, tables, etc., should be embedded into the original file. Detailed instructions on preparing papers for submission can be found in the Paper Template. Further information on the scope of the IJAM is also available upon inquiry of prospective authors.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism is not acceptable in the IJAM submissions and publications. After the submission, authors are requested to declare the originality of their work by adequately citing, re-using, or copying previous publications. The manuscript will be rejected if plagiarism is detected during the peer review. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the publisher issues an erratum/corrigendum or retracts the paper.

The IJAM Editorial Office scans the content of the papers for plagiarism using specialized software.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, or editorial members must disclose every situation or connection which could affect the impartial review and publication procedure.
